Cornhole Tournament!

Delta Sigma hosted our very first spring philanthropy event this past Thursday, March 28th. We held a Cornhole Tournament to raise money for Service for Sight. Teams of two competed in the Cornhole Tournament, and we had BBQ catered from Byron's Smokehouse. Everyone had a great time hanging out and watching or playing in the tournament. Thank you to the DG chapter at NC State for the great idea! Founder's Day 2013

We celebrated Founder's Day on March 24th this year here at Auburn. The event was held at the Auburn Hotel in one of the ballrooms. We enjoy celebrating Founder's Day every year, reflecting on what DG means to us with our whole chapter and many alumni. This year, our speaker was former International President Shari Malone. She shared some amazing advice and stories of how DG has impacted her life.

Spring Formal

We had our Spring Semi-Formal on March 22nd this year at the Webster House. It was a little cold and rainy, but our girls managed to look beautiful and have a great time nonetheless.

Scrapbooking at Camellia

Today we visited Camellia Place and helped with scrapbooking. We always have a great time visiting with the residents there. Here is what one of our girls, Allie Mullen, had to say about today:

"It went really well. We made a lot of fun pages and got to hear tons of funny stories from the residents there. My favorite person to hear from is Dr. Sonny. He would talk to you all day if he could. It seems like he has done or experienced so much in his years, so it's always fun to listen to his wisdom."

One of Dr. Sonny's Cards

Last time we visited with Dr. Sonny he was kind enough to give several of us special greeting cards that he had made from his artwork. He is a very talented man, and just one of the very special people at Camellia. Each of the residents there has so much to share with us about all the amazing things they've done so far in their lives.

Parent's Weekend

We just had Parent's Weekend a few days ago. Friday we had a silent auction in the chapter room and then attended the Women's Gymnastics meet. On Saturday, we had a luncheon at Greystone Mansion and then the Seniors had a Senior Cocktail later that evening with their parents and pledge class.

It turned out to be a really great weekend visiting with all of our families.

We had a Ski Lodge date social last night with DZ! The cold front came through just in time!
